Survey: FE Grant Opportunities | Instructus Skills

Don’t Miss Another FE Grant Opportunity

Grants for Further Education can give an individual the opportunity to change their life through vocational training, no matter where they start.

Yet, as many training providers can tell you, accessing these grants isn’t always as straightforward as it could be.

To help remedy this, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) are looking for volunteers to take part in a user research panel aimed at improving notifications about available and upcoming grants.

The ESFA would like to engage with schools, academies, children’s centres, local authorities, colleges, and trusts to learn about their experience of receiving information about education grants.

As a training provider or employer provider, your feedback could be vital for improving access to FE grants.

Specifically the ESFA wants to discuss:

    • How you learn about new grants
    • How it shares information about supporting evidence
    • Understanding whether your application has been processed
    • Understanding when you should expect payment

To take part simply complete this online form and the ESFA will be in touch. Your input will help the ESFA to improve their communications about FE grants and other potential funding options.

There are several funding streams for adult (19+) learning, including the Adult Education Budget (AEB), the National Skills Fund, Advanced Learner Loans, traineeships, and apprenticeships.

In 2020/21 the total amount of ESFA funding for 16-19 learning was £6.1 billion.
