Do you want to support apprenticeship learning, but are unsure how? Thanks to the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), by taking on a redundant learner you can now support them from mid-apprenticeship to the end of their learning.
With so many learners facing redundancy over this turbulent year, the ESFA has launched the Redundancy Support Service for Apprentices (ReSSA). This service, along with a variety of employer incentives, will help redundant learners to complete their training.
This video outlines exactly how a redundant learner could benefit your business:
The ESFA will fund remaining training for any learner made redundant within six months of their final day on programme. This extension allows learners to find another employer for the duration of their apprenticeship.
As another apprenticeship benefit, incentives outlined under the Plan for Jobs are also available to employers that take on formerly redundant apprentices.
Support for Redundant Apprentices
If you know of any learners who have been affected by redundancy, please encourage them to visit the Government’s support page or call 0800 015 0400 to speak to an adviser.
