Interpreting National Occupational Standards Review | Instructus Skills

Instructus are Reviewing the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Interpreting

Instructus Skills are reviewing the Interpreting National Occupational Standards (NOS). The aim of the review project is to create a revised set of standards which reflects current interpreting practice and the skills and knowledge required by professional interpreters.

The Interpreting NOS review project has been funded by the following organisations; The National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD), Signature, National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI), Scottish Association of Sign Language Interpreters (SASLI), Institute of British Sign Language (IBSL), Interpreter Now, Red Dot and has been supported by a steering group and working group.

We have developed an online survey to gather feedback on the revised draft Interpreting NOS. We would like your help in reviewing the draft Interpreting NOS to determine whether they accurately reflect the standard of performance required by professional interpreters, together with the knowledge and understanding they need to meet the standard. All information provided will be treated in confidence.

The deadline for completion of this survey is 7th July 2017. If you have any further questions, please email marina.popova@instructus.org or call Marina Popova on 0207 091 9620.
