Businesses in the south of Scotland are being asked to share their views on apprenticeship training.
South of Scotland Enterprise and Skills Development Scotland are working together to research work-based learning in small businesses.
For this consultation, which will be completed via a short telephone interview, employers are needed to share their views on what would make them more likely to take on an apprentice.
This consultation will identify best practice and areas for improvement across key sectors in the region, including:
- Food and Drink
- Hospitality and Tourism
- Creative Industries
- Land-Based Industries
Outcomes are expected to include a consideration of new approaches to the delivery of work-based learning. This will be to overcome barriers Scottish businesses may face when it comes to taking on apprentices.
The research will continue until 31st March 2021. All views will remain completely confidential.
If you would like to take part, please email Bethany Handysides McKechnie at Skills Development Scotland.
