Update: SASE Batch 4 & 5 Framework Withdrawal

This week the ESFA has communicated a change to upcoming SASE framework withdrawal dates. In a revision to previous guidance, we have been advised that all English frameworks previously scheduled for removal in Batches 4 and 5 are now no longer scheduled for removal until 2020.

In line with this, Instructus will not withdraw any English frameworks within our footprint until this date. We have updated the English Framework Withdrawal Schedule page to reflect this.

Further clarification from FISSS has outlined:

  • There will be no further framework closures before 2020 (specific date to be confirmed).
  • All frameworks in Batches 4 and 5 are no longer officially scheduled for removal until 2020.
  • Frameworks announced in Batches 1-3 and those either already withdrawn or with a published, confirmed delayed withdrawal date will be removed as communicated.

The Government has stated that English frameworks in Batches 4 and 5 with a suitable replacement standard may be voluntarily withdrawn.

As stated, at this point Instructus has no plans to withdraw any of our frameworks ahead of 2020. However, we welcome feedback from employers, training providers and awarding organisations as always.
